Hi, I always like sim games, simcity is a goldy oldy for me and I was eager to try this newer version on my DS. SimCity DS is here to buck that trend, with EA bringing what many people consider to be the seminal god game to the DS for the first time. Yes, there is SimCity DS and then a sequel (SimCity DS 2) was released in Japan earlier in the year. You can see a detailed view of your city on the top screen, whereas the bottom screen displays the more abstract grids for you to do your work as a city planner. SimCity DS (DS, ShimuShiti DS) is a city building and management video game and the first Nintendo DS installment in the SimCity series.

The game offers all the depth of its immobile cousin, but introduces full stylus control and makes excellent use of the two screens. Maximizing the stylus and built-in microphone controls of the Nintendo DS, SimCity DS brings to the franchise. But its not possible for it to be and that's just fine.

Many who review this game compare it to the PC games and point out its shortcomings and I will say this: its not as pretty as Sim City 4.

With SimCity DS, making your own metropolis breaks free from the PC screen and becomes a portable activity, allowing you to create your own city from scratch, bit by bit wherever you go. As an avid player of Sim City 2000, Sim City 3000 and Sim City 4, I was instantly drawn to own this for the DS.
